The Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce has a Trade Information Centre (TIC) whose goal is to provide business information on trade and industry. Trade information plays a vital role in export and import activities and the associated commercial services, and is indispensable for each of the decision areas associated with trade that is available to meet the information needs of the business community. The TIC aims to acquire and make available to all members of the business community such books, periodicals, pamphlets, CD-ROMs and other services as will address their needs to:
- further develop their business interests
- interact with other business people and keep abreast of trends in business
- make their business concerns and ideas known to a wide audience
The materials available in the TIC consist of business handbooks which cover a wide array of topics such as Marketing, Purchasing & Supply, Human Resources and Financial Management, SADC and COMESA trade regions, Small and Medium Enterprises Management, Franchising, Public Relations, Export Quality Management, Trade Agreements, International Trade, Trade Development, Business Opportunities, Globalisation, business directories, country profiles and reports, product reports as well as market studies.
The ZNCC Business Directory, which is published annually, is a useful source of information for domestic and foreign business enterprises and for those wishing to trade with the Zimbabwe business community or planning to invest in the country, which offers the investor unmatched long-term opportunities. The Directory is widely circulated locally, in the region and abroad through Foreign Missions represented in Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwean Diplomatic Missions around the globe, business enterprises, business sector representative bodies with whom the Chamber corresponds or exchanges publications and trade information, and Government ministries.
