ZNCC Publishes 2025–2026 Annual Report, Charting a New Path from Resilience to Competitiveness
The Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) has officially released its 2025–2026 Annual Report, presenting a comprehensive account of a year defined by strategic advocacy, policy influence, stakeholder engagement, and initiatives aimed at strengthening Zimbabwe's private sector. Under the theme, "From Resilience to Competitiveness: Charting a New Path for Sustainable Industrial Growth," the report outlines the Chamber's vision of transitioning Zimbabwe from economic resilience to sustained industrial competitiveness.
Throughout the reporting period, ZNCC played a leading role in shaping the national business environment through high-level engagement with Government, Parliament, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, development partners, and industry stakeholders. The Chamber submitted policy recommendations covering the 2026 National Budget, Monetary Policy, taxation, trade facilitation, industrial development, investment promotion, and public procurement reforms, advocating for practical measures that improve the ease of doing business and enhance national competitiveness.
The report also showcases the Chamber's commitment to evidence-based advocacy through its flagship State of Industry and Commerce Survey, which provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing Zimbabwean businesses. These findings informed numerous policy submissions and strengthened dialogue between the public and private sectors.
Beyond policy advocacy, the report highlights a busy calendar of national and international engagements, including the ZNCC Annual Congress, Women in Enterprise Conference and Awards, investment missions, business forums, sector conferences, and regional programmes that promoted trade, investment, entrepreneurship, and enterprise development across the country.
Regional branches and national subcommittees also recorded significant achievements, demonstrating the Chamber's growing presence and impact throughout Zimbabwe. Through training programmes, networking platforms, research, strategic partnerships, and member support initiatives, ZNCC continued to empower businesses of all sizes while fostering collaboration between industry, Government, academia, and development partners.
Looking ahead, the report reinforces the Chamber's belief that Zimbabwe's future economic success will be driven by industrialisation, innovation, policy consistency, investment attraction, regional integration, and a globally competitive private sector. It calls on all stakeholders to work collectively towards creating an environment where businesses can grow, compete, and contribute meaningfully to sustainable national development.
